Hypocrisy is not a Congressional Right

Mr DJ Trump - President. Sir. Regarding your nominee for The Supreme Court, I encourage you to have a very public, balanced roundtable* as to why - despite the recent nomination of Merrick Garland and the subsequent denial of any hearing on him by the Republican Congress - your candidate should be given a more civil reception. You have claimed a mandate of 'doing things differently'. I would like the political reality explained to the world as to why President Obama's rightful nominee could not get vote from Congress, and now why yours will. Those who denied Judge Garland from getting a hearing should be made to account. They should have to explain how that did not violate their oaths of office. Your support of this roundtable would show how much of a gamechanger you could be. If there is no accounting, if it is just a matter of 'we don't have to explain our hypocrisy because we don't have to', then our political structure will be proven as 'more of the same' and be a great disappointment to all of us who want to see a different more responsible government in these United States. I wish you and your family good health. GregRobin Smith * A Roundtable would feature respected journalists, and members of Congress with perspective on US nominations to the Supreme Court and to the Nomination and Hearing procedures normally practiced.
